A lifetime resident of Joliet, Cesar Cardenas is an entrepreneur, a community leader, and a mentor. His passion is helping people discover and open doors to opportunity.
Cardenas founded Unidos Marketing Network, a digital agency based on modern digital advertising principles. Since 2011, the company has helped local small businesses compete and succeed in a fast-moving market characterized by rapid changes in technology and digital tools.
Through the purchase of the Old Steelworkers Union Hall in 2018, Cardenas contributed to Joliet’s revitalization efforts. As an entrepreneur, he created 3TEN, a shared workspace hub that provides entrepreneurs with modern, inspiring, and cost-effective office space. Cardenas is committed to collaborating with others to make Joliet more attractive to small businesses.
Cardenas currently serves on the Will County Center for Economic Development Board, Joliet Park Foundation Board, Joliet Latino Economic Development Association (LEDA) and the Silver Cross Healthy Community Commission, a community-based organization which has awarded over $2.4 million in educational scholarships, workforce development, and quality of life grants to District 4. He is past president of the Spanish Community Center (Centro Español) and the Hispanic Latino Coalition of Will County.
Cardenas holds an Associates degree in Computer Science from DeVry. He ran the Chicago Marathon in 2018 and feels no need to do so again. He and his wife of 15 years, Rosalinda, live in District 4.
